Ministry Overview

“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

Through this training ministry, students are able to transfer their learned knowledge from a variety of courses into areas that maximize their full potential. This ministry encourages students of all ages to aspire to higher levels in various areas of life. If you would like to obtain stability in finances, achieve greater knowledge of the Bible, or realize you can have a better marriage; these are among some of the areas the Education Ministry can help. Our expectation is that the knowledge gained will give students the desire to make a greater impact in the community and beyond.

Bible Based Foundation Training

New Covenant Partners Class

This class familiarizes new members with The City of Refuge’s Mission and Vision Statement, the Statement of Faith, and the Church Organizational Structure which provides a brief overview of various Ministries.

Basic Bible Training Course

Explores the basic fundamentals of Redemption, Water Baptism, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Healing, Prayer, Stewardship and to effectively use Bible Study Tools.

Advance Bible Training Course

This course focuses on the important doctrinal subjects of justification, sanctification, righteousness, holiness, repentance and the Second Coming of Christ.

Leadership Bible Training Course

This course focuses on line-upon-line study of the books of the Bible revealing it's central theme.

Interact Ministry 

The Interact Ministry focuses their counsel on the principles of salvation, baptism of the Holy Ghost, spiritual rededication and restoration. The Interact Ministry assists the new believer of Christ in the transformation of his/her inner man. We provide training classes for those who are interested in becoming Interact counselors.

- Encounter - What it means to experience God.

- Transformation - What it takes to become like Christ.

- Community - What real church community is and what its role is in helping us to experience God.

Marriage Enrichment Training 

This course intent is to minister to the needs of today’s couples. Our ministry focuses on restoring relationships, strengthening marriages, and uniting families through godly counsel and practical instruction.

Ministerial Training 

The Ministerial Training Program provides an  in-depth biblical, spiritual, and practical training to men and women who minister the gospel. Through the program candidates obtain a life of personal discipline and sensitivity in caring for family and church. Ministerial Training will produce bold and faithful ministers who exhibit the full proof of their ministry. This training strives to equip you to interpret the Bible responsibly and to serve people compassionately.

Consider these qualifications before entering the Ministerial Training Course:

- Application – Born-again, Baptism of the Holy Spirit and demonstrate evidence of Godly moral character.

- Classes – Complete Basis & Advance Bible Foundation classes.

- Committed – Attend all classes for the program and purchasing required text book and material.
